Sea buckthorn is one of the most valuable berries. It contains a large amount of vitamin A, which moisturizes the skin well, gives it firmness and elasticity.
Vitamin E, known as the vitamin of youth, slows down the aging process. Vitamin C, which softens the skin and improves its elasticity, as well as many other vitamins and nutrients.
In addition to its healing properties, sea buckthorn oil will give the scrub mixture a pleasant orange color that improves mood.
The skin from the scrub will become so smooth and soft that you can not use the body cream after.
Composition:
Phase A
• jojoba oil 15 gr
• sweet almond oil 15 gr
• sea buckthorn oil (not diluted) 20 drops
• sweet orange essential oil 16 drops
• tangerine essential oil 6 drops
• mint essential oil 8 drops
Phase B (optional)
• menthol 0.5 g
• alcohol (70%) 1 g
Phase C
• fine salt 150 g
How to do:
• mix the base and essential oils, gradually pour the mixture into the salt, stirring until smooth.
• Dissolve menthol in alcohol and add it to the rest of the ingredients.
How to apply:
Apply with massage movements for 2-3 minutes on a clean body. Suitable for both shower and sauna.
Ingredient substitution options:
Base oils (jojoba and almond) can be replaced with any other non-edible (no pronounced odor) liquid oils, such as olive, apricot kernel.
Depending on the needs of the skin, the percentage of oils can also be varied.
Alternatively, you can use the following aroma oil blend: cedar, spruce, cypress and juniper.
If you like a combination of coniferous and citrus esters, then it is quite possible to come up with your own composition based on the above oils.
Be careful with juniper oil, add no more than five drops!
How to store:
The scrub does not contain preservatives, however, because of the salt, it is stored in a well-closed jar for 2-3 months. Even if you do not want to make it with menthol, it is better to add a gram of alcohol, this will increase the shelf life. Avoid getting water into the jar.
Be careful and buy essential oils only from reliable companies and suppliers. In pharmacies, you can often find low-quality products.
